It's not really that network that is being upgraded with the merge. A little bit, but not a ton. The major network upgrades will be coming down the road with sharding. The merge is bullish though because eth will immediately become deflationary, and it will become more attractive to insitutional investor concerned about the energy use of bitcoin. Eth is the other "blue chip" in crypto and they may well see it as favorable.
Sell the news. The ethereum upgrade won’t lower transaction fees due to not shifting at the execution layers. Layer 2 are still needed to scale ethereum ever after the upgrade.
This is still an important step in crypto but it won’t necessarily lower transaction fees and massively scale ethereum.
