Where have I been what is XR DOGE?
Theory time! There are no “set in stone” regulations in place for crypto. Ripple(XRP) has been working hard, to try and make sure that XRP will pass all levels of regulations within the federal government. The lawsuit is mainly a result of the unclear statements that were being made by the SEC about crypto currencies and ico’s. Ripple requested to conduct a meeting with SEC to clarify if Ripple participated in operating as a security. Clayton advises Garlinhouse/Rios that the only way for the SEC to tell if Ripple is safe from SEC regulations is by proceeding through court hearings/fact finding. Clayton advises the SEC to conduct a Howey test. SEC determines that XRP operated as a security. Clayton advises counsel to provide proof of ripple operating as a security. SEC request answers by Ripple, Ripple doesn’t provide answers to their request. The SEC decides the best way to prove their findings, is by proceeding with litigations and requesting Ripple to provide hard evidence. Clayton decides it’s best to leave his position to profit off of growing crypto market. SEC replaces Clayton with Gensler. SEC believes that Gensler is best suited to conduct a crypto court ruling and to bring clarity to the crypto space.
